   How can you create contours automatically on an AutoCAD Civil 3D drawing that has existing spot elevations from a recent survey?

   I appreciate any help with this issue.

   First you must create a Surface using the points from the survey. This assumes that the points have a z-coordinate (and that the "points" are not just text labels with no elevation information).

   After you've created the surface, you can apply a style that displays contours. There are several out-of-the-box surface styles that display contours.
